I have this type of grass around my house, I found this bunch in Cos Cob. The grouping of grass is wrapped around a telephone pole for support with a strap similar to a dog leash.

Nearby an horse ride. I had a similar horse when I was a toddler in Levitown, NY (Long Island). It may have been a Christmas present.
