On March 12, 2010 at approximately 11:06 P.M., the Greenwich Police Department received an emergency 911 telephone call reporting that a victim had been robbed at knife point on Railroad Avenue.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim had exited the Metro North Commuter Railroad Station and was walking on Railroad Avenue when he was confronted by two subjects, one brandishing a knife and demanding money. During the robbery, the victim resisted and the two subjects punched him repeatedly. The victim sustained non-life threatening facial contusions and lacerations.
The subjects are described as follows: Two black males in their late teens or early 20’s, approximately 5’9, medium builds, wearing down jackets, one green and one beige or white in color, and wearing baseball caps. The two subjects stole cash and a cell phone from the victim. The subjects were last seen running westbound on Railroad Avenue towards Arch Street.
The Greenwich Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is requesting anyone with information pertaining to this investigation to contact Detective Timothy Biggs at 203-622-8053 or 203-622-8004.
