BREAKING NEWS: Arrest in Riverside “Estate Teasures Robbery”

GPD PRESS RELEASE

On Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11:45 A.M., members of the Greenwich Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, along with members of the Stamford Police Department arrested the below identified subject by warrant:

Name: Lakeem R. Jetter

Age 18, DOB- March 19, 1991

519 Hawley Avenue Bridgeport, CT 06606

For the following violations of the Connecticut General Statutes:

Robbery 1st Degree- CGS 53a-134;

Felony Conspiracy to commit Robbery 1st-CGS 53a-48(53a-134);

Felony Conspiracy to commit Larceny 1st – CGS 53a-48(53a-122);

Felony Larceny 1st Degree- CGS 53a-122 Felony.

The arrest warrant stems from the July 13, 2009 armed robbery of Estate Treasures, 1162 East Putnam Avenue, in which an estimated value of two hundred fifty thousand dollars of jewelry was taken during the crime.

The arrest comes after a two month investigation involving multiple jurisdictions in Fairfield County that led to the arrest of Jetter and an active arrest warrant for his accomplice in this crime who is presently incarcerated at the Bridgeport Correctional Facility.

Jetter is presently being held at Greenwich Police Department in lieu of a $250,000.00 Cash Bond and has an assigned Court Date of September 21, 2009.
