BREAKING NEWS: RTC contested races

GREENWICH, JULY 22, 10:46 p.m. — Live, from the floor of the RTC nominating convention, here are the results of the three contested races:

First Selectman Peter Tesei was renominated without opposition. His running-mate will be Dave Theis, the choice of the Executive Committee. Theis beat B.E.T. member Bob Stone for the number two slot by a vote of 32 to 26.

The two Republicans for the Board of Education will be incumbent Steve Anderson and Peter Sherr, both of whom were endorsed by the Executive Committee. they beat Theresa Stanton and Randall Smith.

All Republican B.E.T. incumbents who chose to run for re-election , (Steve Walko, Michael Mason, Jim Campbell, Leslie Tarkington and Art Norton) were renominated and Joseph Pelligrino beat Greg Bedrosian to fill the seat vacated by Bob Stone.
