The Osprey are Back!

The Osprey are nesting again on the Eagle Sculpture at Tod's Point. Osprey are also known at SeaHawks. They have been nesting here for several years. In the 1980's the original sculpture was stolen. The original cast was used for this second molding of copper. While waiting to patiently to take this photo a dozen people asked me about what was going on. One man stopped on his hybrid (not hybird) bicycle and told me a few things. One thing he said was that in the 80's the value of metals was very high and people were stealing all sorts of metals, including the copper Eagle sculpture on Eagle Island.
