BREAKING NEWS: Honulik Case — Decision likely Monday

Nine months of waiting often results in a baby.  The Town of Greenwich has been waiting over nine months since arguing the case of Honulik versus the Town of Greenwich, et al before the Connecticut Supreme Court.  Rumors circulating in the law enforcement and legal community indicate that a decision will be made public on Monday.

The Town sought and was granted an expedited appeal based on a public safety hardship caused by an injunction stemming from the case.  The case was argued on April 15, 2008.  Until a decision is rendered the Greenwich Police are enjoined from making promotions above the rank of Lieutenant.  The effect has been no command officers between the Chief and the 11 Lieutenants.
