in anticipation of the predicted sub-freezing temperatures, several “warming centers” have been established in town to assist residents who have lost power and/or heat
The centers are a joint effort of the Town of Greenwich First Selectman’s Office, the Office of Emergency Management, Department of Health, Fire, Police and Emergency Medical Services, in coordination with the American Red Cross.
The locations and times are:
Greenwich Hospital’s Main Lobby-5 Perryridge Road Thu, Fri, Sat -8am-6pm
The Greenwich Library-101 West Putnam Avenue Thu, Fri- 9am-9pm, Sat-9am-5pm
The Senior Center- 299 Greenwich Avenue Thu- Fri-8am-4pm.
Do not call the Police in the event of a blackout. Emergency telephone numbers for utility companies are:

Connecticut Natural Gas- 203-869-6900
The Police also advise residents to keep warm by following a few safety measures, such as while outdoors wearing a hat, scarf and gloves as well as staying dry, and while indoors making sure to dress efficiently, eat regularly and keep hydrated.
