November 21, 5:17 p.m.–There was an armed robbery at the Mobil in Old Greenwich (“Mobil On The Run” on the Post Rd.) about 1 a.m. Saturday. According to several sources, the Mobil employee was shot in the back of the head during the robbery. A clerk at the Mobil station said that the victim went to Greenwich Hospital, had surgery and has been released.
One report is that the clerk was shot even after complying with the request to turn over money. The culprit got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
