There will be two new officers joining Greenwich’s Finest on Monday, August 10, 2009.
Lisa M. Ruiz and Christian Rosario will be sworn in before family and friends by First Selectman cum Police Commission Peter J. Tesei at high noon in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
Lisa Ruiz, a graduate of Harrison High School, still lives in Harrison. She earned an Associates Degree in Math and Science from Westchester Community College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Kinesiology from San Francisco State University. Prior to becoming a police officer, she was the Branch Relationship Banker for the HSBC Bank in Rye, New York.
Christian Rosario, who resides in Bronx, New York, is a graduate of Manhattan Center for Science and Math in New York, NY. He attended SUNY Stony Brook from September 2001 to May 2003, taking courses in business management, before attending SUNY Farmingdale (August 2004 to January 2004) taking courses in Electrical Engineering. Prior to becoming a police officer, he was working as a Contracts Clerk for a company that handled government, state and private contract requests.
As with all police members, the newly minted officers will be required to complete an eighteen-month probationary period.
