Well...it was raining pretty steady on the way to Roger Sherman Baldwin Park next to the Teen Center on Arch Street...and still raining when I got there...the Concert was rained out last weekend...but tonight....tonight it was on...the umbrellas and lawn chairs were there along with people...about 50 people put up with the rainy conditions...they watched, sat, danced, romanced and listened to the past.

The Greenwich Silver Shield Association and Pepsi (HQ Purchase, NY...next to Greenwich) sponsored this Greenwich event. The website "www.greenwich.org" posted the following message...SILVER SHIELD CONCERT RESCHEDULED The Silver Shield Concert featuring the Platters and Chiffons has been rescheduled for Friday, August 28th from 7 pm to 10 pm at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. This concert is free. No tickets are necessary.

1st Selectman (aka: Mayor) Peter Tesei and Sargent James Bonney. I dont know the difference between a First Selectman and a Mayor, do you?

I stood under the town's bright 'lights on a stand' to get some of these photos...I great when resources are multi-purposed.

This might be the best photo I ever took (my current favorite)...the bright streaks are raindrops illuminated by my on-camera flash, the other illumination is over the horizon, sunlight in the clouds...the view is Southward and in Greenwich Harbor from Sherman Park. This image reminds me of something...I dont know what yet...like a celestial map or harbor from the past...it's like the future and past at once...it might not be as good as i current think tonight..but for now it looks really cool

Almost everyone was prepared with umbrellas, but it wasnt necessary...it was only lightly drizzling at times

The photographer who took these pictures (my college professor had said in 1985... "they are called PHOTOGRAPHES, NOT! pictures") ... well it's distinction.....the Photographer who took these 'Photographs' looked a bit unusual at times underneath the clear plastic which protected the camera from water damage.
