Governor Jodi Rell came to the 37 team SWAT competition today, seen here, is speaking to the Men and Women who protect not only Connecticut but the surroundling States. Governor Rell walked the expansive grounds of the SWAT competition and generously received anyone who approached her as she toured the expansive layout. The 'layout' consisted of about 37 tent shades for individual 8 or 9 man SWAT teams and about 40 vendors tents. I heard over the radio, and I'm sorry I dont know which station it played as I was driving for the 3 day of competition...Jodi was being inteviewed and discussing the cigarette tax...and she said something like...i'd rather that no one was smoking than take money for cigarette taxes. Let me say something in French...'agreement'. She cares.

Greenwich's SWAT 'Band of Brothers' in Simbury, Connecticut Wednesday. Al Moavero, Chris Girard, Mike Rooney, Dave Hall, Carlos Franco, John Thorme, Stanley Ouimette, Ernie Mulhern, Rich Stook

Shooting the Sniper Rifle. A subSonic bullet fired momments later did not create the loud blast sound. Only bullets that break the sound barrier create the VERY LOUD blast sound. Those bullets exceed the 'speed of sound'. This round (or bullet) sounded more like 'puuffff'...the silencer also helped.

Our Greenwich 'Special Response Unit' today in Simsbury, Connecticut about 25 minutes before a 6 mile, 40 station 'PT' VERY challenging timed obstacle race. A photo might be 'a thousand words', but not in this case...I took about 4000 photos at this event...This photo isn't 'a thousand words'...In the next few days I will post images from this event....not a thousand but enough to describe how good these men who protect our town are...they are!
