Back in February 2007 a plan was filed to install an 80 foot stealth cellular antennae flagpole on a 0.9 acre parcel at 328 Palmer Hill Road, steps from the North Mianus School, and close to the soon-to-be-completed Bridges Nursery School.
The tower will be for T-Mobile. The exact location is Lat: 41.057056 Lon: -73.580694, which can be seen on Mapquest by clicking here.
There will be a public hearing at Town Hall on June 9th on the proposal. While the Town government does
not have jurisdiction over this project, it is required to hold public hearings on the project. The final site approval is made by the CT Siting Council in Bristol CT.
According to an email circulating among the Cos Cob and North Mianus communities “the flagpole will be visible approx 40 feet over the tree line…. We will see this pole all year around.” The email attaches a PDF file with a great deal of data including photos of a “balloon-test” which demonstrates what the antennae will look like from various locations in the area.
The plan is officially known as “CT11811A.” The applicant is listed as Marin Fettman whose email is: marin.fettman@t-mobile.com. The type is “Pole, Structure height: 21.3 m, Overall height: 21.3 m.”
