Greenwich resident Mary Ann Hoberman, who was recently named Children’s Poet Laureate for 2008-2010, will be appearing at the Old Greenwich Elementary School Book Fair on Tuesday December 9th from 1:45 to 2:45. (an early release days for all town elementary schools). Old Greenwich School invites you to join them for a fabulous opportunity to meet one of Greenwich’s own literary treasures, not to mention picking up some great holiday gifts and goodies offered by the 5th Grade Bake Sale.

Mary Ann Hoberman is the winner of the National Book Award and the Award for Excellence in Poetry for Children, among many others. Her work has been described as bursting with word-play and foot stomping rhythms, slyly witty, a rhyming romp, and delightfully silly.
